Won't taking my son back. Doctor's MA Asked for my 2 y/o to be masked, which I did. But other mom's and ppl coming in maskless, also she wanted to fix and clipped my son's mask in the triage room but other kids other than 2 hanging maskless. I told the fd how I felt about it. On that same note, my son is COVID - since I always have to test for daycare. We only wanted an eye check. I asked for my HIPPA and will definitely be getting all my son's records back.

Wish I could give negative stars. Dr. Steve Ayanruoh ignored the Pathologist's calls noted on my son's blood work results and put my child's life at risk. Pros: The receptionist and nurse are nice, friendly, and helpful. Gave me print outs of test results when requested. Cons: The office is in a dark basement area. The rooms are small, cluttered, and the whole layout is inefficient and disorganized. The waiting room is also pretty small and can build up quickly. The Dr. is nice but doesn't speak Spanish and his English is spoken with a heavy accent and is difficult for me to understand. But the main issue I had, was that my son was SEVERELY sick and the Dr. not only waived off the severity of his CRITICALLY LOW iron levels, but he was dismissive of my concerns and only ran more tests because of my pestering and desperate urging. Eventually, I took my son upstate and put him in an ER until an NP was willing to see him and refer him to an amazing pediatrician who was shocked at the sight of my child and his blood work results. She urgently and aggressively pushed to get a hematologist to look at him. After driving many miles to a children's hospital, meeting with several doctors, and having him admitted for almost a month to run multiple tests, he was diagnosed with and treated for Crohn's disease. Thankfully, my son now has a great specialist at Mt. Sinai, but he could have had a heart attack or other organ failure if he had not been diagnosed and treated in time. I feel that Dr. Ayanruoh is on autopilot and is just doing the bare minimum as a pediatrician. In my opinion, his lack of good, ethical practice, and blatant disregard of his Hippocratic oath put my child in grave danger. If it were up to me, I would have his license revoked. Edit: As of today, August 7th, 2024, around 3pm I received a call from this Dr. threatening to sue me if I didn't remove this review.
