I've sat in this review feeling completely dejected and saddened, but wanted to put it out there because unfortunately too many women get the same treatment and suffer in silence: Really disappointed as a first and last time patient. After being dismissed by several doctors and my symptoms ignored, Dr Leipzig came up as recommended. Firstly, while being assured that she was running on time, I was seen 1 hour past my appointment. I described my experiences to her as well as listed all the symptoms I've been gaining for the last 7 years. I highly suspect that it might be perimenopause, and I am just looking for either confirmation or someone to work with me to figure this out. Just tell me you don't know but we'll work together on this. After listening to me, the doctor said "you're just giving me a list of complaints".... I think she was either lost or completely checked out. After inquiring about my past history, her MEDICAL OPINION was for me to "meditate more" and read "The Body Keeps the Score". Her Eureka moment was to blame PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS on some imagined trauma that "must have happened to me 7 years ago". I wish I was kidding. After a brief exam and blood test, she told me she'd call me in a few days to discuss. That never happened either. If you're looking for help, do not come here. Another doctor past retirement stage who will dismiss you like you're nothing. How unsurprisingly disappointing.
