I want to share my honest experience at ParkMed following my procedure on Friday. First, I want to say that my anesthesiologist was absolutely amazing. He made me feel very comfortable and safe during a stressful moment. His calm presence and reassuring demeanor truly helped ease my anxiety before the procedure, and I appreciate the care he showed. However, my experience with some of the assisting staff in the procedure room was very concerning. Before I fully went under sedation, I remember feeling like I was choking on saliva or spit, and I do not recall anyone clearly addressing what was happening at the time. Since the procedure, it is now Monday and I have been experiencing significant throat pain and complications. My uvula appears split from the front to the back, and there is dangling white tissue that feels like flesh in the back of my throat. It has made eating, swallowing, sleeping, and even breathing comfortably very difficult throughout the entire weekend. I was not informed of any complication after the procedure, and I believe this may have happened during suctioning, although no one explained anything to me. This has been extremely distressing physically and emotionally after already going through a difficult medical experience. I hope the clinic takes situations like this seriously and ensures patients are properly monitored, informed, and supported if complications occur.⚠️
