I visited this BMS urgent care facility and I believe that it has the potential to be great, but I had some concerns about the front-end staff. When I arrived at BMS, the receptionist did not acknowledge me because she was engrossed in a conversation with a coworker about the coworker's son. After I provided my child's information and was told to have a seat, I found that there was only one seat available. I let my teenager sit while I pushed my baby back and forth. I eventually went outside and returned after 10 minutes. When I wanted to ask the receptionist about the wait time, no one was at the desk. The staff's loud conversations made the environment noisy. Additionally, two workers were chatting loudly while someone brought food for them. When the receptionist returned, I asked her how many people were ahead of my son. She explained that there was only one provider, but I was outside and could have asked everyone in the waiting area. I expressed my frustration, stating that she could have informed me about the single provider when I checked in. She then stated “There's always one provider” I then asked her for a link or form to make a complaint, and she seemed confused about what I meant. She called out to her coworker and explained that I was unsatisfied and wanted to make a complaint via email. Neither of them had the information to give to me. I told her that you rather me put my review on Google rather than try to assist me by getting the information that I requested. I then asked her for a Post-it and for her to write her name, the receptionist's name, and the number where I could reach a supervisor. She wrote it with the number. for Rockaway Ave. She mentioned that if I liked, I could just leave. Needless to say, my child wasn't seen at BMS Urgent Care. A patient who receives exceptional care is likely to share their positive experience with a family member or friend, which would be great for your establishment. Brownsville Residents should have access to healthcare workers who are deeply passionate about their work. A month ago my child was treated by Dana Salanitri, FNP, who went above and beyond. My daughter also saw Joseph Ida, DNP, and he was great too. As I stated earlier, there is potential. Had it not been for today's incident I would have given BMS Urgent 5 stars.
