smash rocks
Probably not going back to Dr naida, felt very uncomfortable. Was recommended a sonogram and wasn’t really given a clear explanation as to why or what the cost could be. I, therefore, declined. She kept saying “I couldn’t see” which was very confusing. I called back later for clarity and was told that my “belly” was getting in the way of feeling my uterus and she recommends a sonogram to girls that “aren’t so skinny”. Going to the OBGYN is already an uncomfortable, vulnerable experience, the last thing a patient wants is to essentially be told they’re fat. Like this wasn’t a conversation about health or internal effects of weight but her literally saying I’m “not skinny”. Seems incredibly unprofessional and potentially triggering for patients with body image/eating disorder issues. Also never had another doctor suggest this/have this issue so I found it odd.
