I visited Dr. Nouriel for an annual checkup. Still, the main reason for my appointment was a breast examination because I had previously undergone breast imaging, where a lump was identified with the possibility of it being cancerous. Because of this, proper follow-up care and a mammogram referral were necessary. I clearly explained my concerns during the visit and informed Dr. Nouriel that it had already been over a year since my last screening. Despite the seriousness of my medical history and concerns, Dr. Nouriel never ordered a mammogram or arranged any follow-up testing, which left me feeling dismissed and unheard. When there is a possible cancer-related concern, follow-up care should never be ignored or delayed. Another deeply uncomfortable part of my visit occurred during the examination itself, when I realized that both the receptionist and the phlebotomist were standing inside the exam room observing without my permission. At no point was I asked whether I was comfortable with additional people being present during such a private and sensitive appointment. I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable, and that my privacy was completely violated. Overall, my experience was uncomfortable, disappointing, and unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to women looking for compassionate, attentive, and respectful medical care.
