I love Dr. Joerg. She took a lot of time to make sure I understood the procedure. She's an excellent doctor. Also very personable and great staff. I travel almost 2 hours from NJ to see her and will continue to do so.

My personal experience with Dr J has been mostly positive - except for the one time she minimized something that I insisted on checking out - and it turned out to be pre-cancerous and needed immediate attention. However, I am an adult who asks questions and persists. But I am writing this review because of my college age daughter that I sent to Dr J. I told my daughter that Dr J was nice, chatty, comprehensive, knowledgeable and caring. My daughter has come home from several appointments reporting that Dr J seemed rushed, barely spoke to her, prescribed and added medications with no follow up and gave minimal or no instructions on how to use - which resulted in my daughter's face turning red and burning when she went outside. Yes my daughter filled out the charts but that is not a substitute for a conversation with the doctor about how to use and what to be alert for in terms of any possible contraindications because of medication she takes for other medical reasons. Again, I like Dr J and have known her for years but I honestly have to say she's not been a good doctor for my daughter.

Dr. Joerg is a capable doctor. Unfortunately, the administration of her appointments is appalling. On my first visit, I waited OVER AN HOUR to see her. I respectfully discussed this with her; she said that she gives all of her patients as much time as they need. And while this wreaks havoc on her calendar, I respected the response... and thought I'd give her a 2nd chance. But this time, I made my appointment early -- 9:30 am, thinking for sure she'd be on time. After waiting for THIRTY-FIVE minutes, I left. Another woman in the waiting room commented that she, too, had waited an hour for her last appointment. This is very disrespectful. There are thousands of capable doctors in NYC; I will be finding one who can keep an appointment schedule.

I liked the doctor very much and the staff in the examination room. She was personable and very competent. The appt was 11.45 and I didn’t get in until 12.20 which made my following appt time sensitive so I I had to take a cab. Two other things- one of the receptionists (Rosa?) refused to bring her mask up over her nose and was very defiant about it bordering on rude. And they charge a credit card fee on top of the $50 deductible which was not posted according to NY law. The doctor was excellent but these other issues re timeliness, the mask, and the fee were real negatives
