Dr. Matthew Austin is the King of Orthopedic surgeons!! I had a total right hip replacement four days ago. I walked around handicapped for about three years. Truly, I was petrified of the surgery. Searched and search for the right orthopedic surgeon And then I found DR . Austin , and read his reviews and knew he was the one and only!!! I will tell you that you should look no further than Dr. Matthew Austin! Not only is he personable, but he’s ICONIC and MASTERFUL ! Somehow, I am walking somehow my legs are even ! Somehow, I’m not in pain somehow he made a miracle happen!! Dr. Matthew Austin is so brilliant that he performs this surgery effortlessly!!! I am writing this review for others that are afraid the same way I was. Dr. Austin , Will be able to restore your life the way You once knew it! I know I will ski again …. I am a believer! I am so grateful that he performed the surgery and that I am walking again just only after four days without pain! Dr. Austin ,does the interior approach and it is the way to go because the pain was so minimal and everything I was frightened about didn’t happen!! I pray that this review will change someone’s mind to use Dr. Austin for their upcoming hip replacement! I am eternally grateful to Dr. Austin and his staff who guided me through one of the scariest times in my life.. Thank you, Dr. Austin and staff for restoring my life and getting me through the surgery! To Paula and Wilda I love you both for guiding me every step of the way! I think I believe in God again! I suffered for 5 years with hip pain but too scared to have surgery. I was recommended to Dr Austin and went for a consultation, at the time I was not scheduling an appointment until I thought it over. After meeting with Dr Austin I changed my mind immediately. He informed me about the details of the surgery explaining that every patient is different. He is so knowledgeable, caring, informative and most of all an excellent surgeon, making me feel at ease that I made my surgery appointment right after my consultation. The day of surgery I was nervous but it all went well and was home the same day. The first 2 weeks I was sore and a little uncomfortable but within 5 days I went from a walker to a cane and in 1 month I was walking with no devices. Sometimes I forget I had surgery until I realize I am pain free. It is now 6 months feeling great and all thanks to Dr Austin for giving me back my quality of life. Sincerely, Elizabeth Bonomolo

Met Doctor Austin for a knee replacement on June 24. What impressed me the most was humble , friendly and caring and knowledgeable he was. I had blood clots several times and on blood thinners. I also have sleep apnea and it will be a big risk to have this surgery,. but that of course this was his opinion, and I could look for other opinions. He was so sincere, there is no need for another opinions. We discussed other treatments. I will recommend Doctor Austin to anyone. God bless him.

First knee done September 2024. Excellent surgery team & hospital staff. HSS. Second knee done June 2025. Same wonderful experience. First week both times difficult today with post op exam 105 range motion one month in off all meds no assistance. Dr Matthew was wonderful great job. Kayla did excellent job with sutures. Would do again if I had to. Cannot recommend this team & hospital enough.

Had my first visit with Dr. Austin and everyone that I came in contact with was terrific! The front desk staff were upbeat and cheerful. Dr. Austin was relaxed and pleasant and I didn’t feel rushed at all. He answered all my questions and I left feeling confident in my decision to have him perform my surgery. As a retired RN and a patient I’ve interacted with many doctors and I liked him very much.
