How lucky for me that I found my way to Dr. Lebl, who performed a laminatomy that has eliminated nagging pains in my leg and lower back that really did limit me in some of my favorite activities for years. Dr. Lebl is friendly, eager to be informative, never rushed, and skilled. My recommendation is wholehearted, without caveats. Props too to his excellent office staff (here’s looking at you, Tiffany). A fine team.

I always appreciate a detailed review when searching for a doctor so will try. I saw dr. Lebl for the first time in 2022 because of cervical neck pain. I had already had a fusion done by a different HSS doctor. After our first visit Dr. Lebl told me about disc replacement vs fusion and how at my age that would have been the better option. He also indicated some slight things with my fusion and its alignment. That level of confidence and, dare I say cockiness, was what made me feel at ease and confident I made the right choice. After the suggestion of another surgery, at the time I wasn’t ready to go through it again less then 5 years after my fusion. So we did PT. The pain didn’t get better and finally in 2025 I had new imaging and Dr. Lebl confirmed it had worsened and my options were guided injections, which I’ve always viewed as a bandaid, or replacement disc surgery, which would fix the issue and improve my quality of life. My experience with Dr Lebl’s office through the entire process was exceptional, they’re awesome. Dr. Lebl answered all my questions and concerns heading into surgery. The entire experience was night and day vs my first surgery. As was the recovery. Less pain and discomfort after the replacement and no range of motion issues. Dr. Lebl came to see me the next day and I saw him on every follow where I never saw my first surgeon ever again after my fusion, only his PA. I just had my 6 month post opp with Dr Lebl and I feel great. He confirmed the disc and placement look great and I have no restrictions and need to continue to strengthen the area. I still get some pain and occasional flair up, but it’s normal due to the amount of time the nerve was compressed and needs to heal. Like I told Dr Lebl, I wish I’d have found him before my first surgery.
