We don’t mind traveling (and paying the toll/congestion fee) to see Dr. A. She is the best. My wife loves her and recommended that I see her as well. I just wanted her to check on my hair loss, but she and her staff recommended that I have a complete examination. And I’m glad I listened, because Dr. Akintilo saw something that required further analysis and sent a sample out to the lab. When it was determined that I had basal cell carcinoma. Doctor A. immediately contacted me and made sure that I set up an appointment to get it surgically and successfully removed. Without her thorough examination, I would not even know that I had this type of cancer. I am eternally grateful to Doctor Akintilo and my wife and I highly recommend her

Dr. Lisa O. Akintilo is truly a gem in the field of dermatology! From the moment I walked into her office, I felt welcomed and cared for. Dr. Akintilo is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but she also takes the time to truly listen, explain, and personalize treatment based on your unique needs and skin concerns. Her warm demeanor instantly puts you at ease, and it’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients' well-being and long-term results. A special shoutout to Presley at the front desk—what an absolute delight! He is kind, organized, and goes above and beyond to ensure every patient has a smooth and stress-free visit. From scheduling to follow-ups, Presley’s communication is top-notch and his positivity makes all the difference. The entire experience from start to finish was exceptional.

I am writing to express my concerns about my recent appointment with Dr. Lisa Akintilo. While Dr. Akintilo conducted a cancer screening, she missed a mole that I had to specifically ask her to examine after she had told me everything looked fine and instructed me to get dressed. When I pointed out the missed mole, she became hostile but still recommended an immediate biopsy without providing a clear explanation. Additionally, she failed to offer a wipe to remove the marking she made during the examination. When I asked about varicose veins, Dr. Akintilo suggested I schedule a separate appointment. She also promised to send in a prescription for me to use in the meantime, until I scheduled the biopsy, but later denied this when multiple follow-ups with her staff were unsuccessful. I had to escalate the issue to the head of the unit. Given my experience, I will now be seeking care from another dermatologist, as I found Dr. Akintilo to be more focused on selling services than providing thorough, professional care. I generally appreciate NYU doctors but this was truly a horrific experience. It's possible it is due to Dr. Akinitilo's short experience.

Amazing amazing amazing dermatologist. Suggested the perfect laser for my skin and her expertise is unmatched. I’ve had lasers in the past, but I think skill level has a huge effect on results as I’ve never seen this much improvement. Highly recommended.
