Dr. Kimberly Cheng, OD

I am a semi-retired healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience working in NYC hospitals. Dr. Kimberly Cheng is my gastroenterologist and I am highly satisfied with her services. She is personable and answers questions amiably and thoroughly. I recently underwent an ambulatory procedure with her (colonoscopy) at NYU’s Steinberg Ambulatory Care Center in Brooklyn Heights. The procedure went very smoothly and Dr. Cheng explained the results very clearly to me and my husband soon afterwards. The other professional staff (anesthesiologist, nursing, support staff) were also highly professional and just plain nice, and the Steinberg facility is brand new, very clean and state of the art.

I was very pleased with my appointment with Dr. Cheng. She was knowlegable, caring and answered all my questions and concerns. I am a senior citizen who had concerns about doing a colonoscopy at my age. She spent the time and gave me all the options .

Inexperienced, calls my medical condition “theoretical”. The condition was determined after testing for it and finding a positive test. Why did they do the test in the first place if it’s a “theoretical condition”.
