Dr. Alvarez is an excellent dermatologist who is professional, skilled, and attentive. The fillers were done beautifully and the laser removal was smooth and effective. I felt completely confident in his care and highly recommend him.

If you are looking for a dermatologist in NYC, I highly recommend Dr. Gilberto Alvarez. The wait time was short, his staff is amazing and the doctor takes the time to listen to you. He saved me from acne on my face and other problems I've had. The thing I like best is that he speaks Spanish and that makes me feel at home not being at home. Thank you for everything doc, and if you are looking for a doctor you are in the best hands with Dr. Gilberto Alvarez. Blessed to have you as my doctor. 3000% recommended.

I don’t often take the time to write reviews about doctors I have seen, but the recent visit I had with my new dermatologist, Dr. Gilberto Alvarez was such a good experience that I felt I needed to comment on it. I had an early morning appointment at 8:15 am which made it easy for me to be on time to work. From the moment I arrived at his office the staff made me feel welcome, and I didn’t have to wait long, only about 7 minutes, before I was seen. I never felt rushed during my visit, and Dr. Alvarez took the time to listen to my past history and frustration with other dermatologists I had seen. He gave me a very thorough examination, prescribed medication and told me to see him again in two weeks. By the time of my second visit, the skin problems I had were very much improved. I would recommend him highly.

I came all the way out to see Dr. Alvarez for an appointment. As a new patient I was asked to fill out forms. One of the forms required was your credit card information to keep on file. I refused to give my credit card information because of course I have the right to say no for security reasons. Then the office refused to see me after I traveled all the way from Brooklyn. The receptionist did not tell me over the phone prior to my visit about requiring a credit or debit card on file when I made the appointment as a new patient and I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only person who disputed it. What if I had a skin emergency or bad skin problem that really needed to be addressed? I would made an appointment some place else. This was a waste of time. I'm curious to what extent are medical businesses allowed to have this policy.

Dr Gilberto's team members were rude, inflexible, and unprofessional. Dr Gilberto did not interfere even though I'd seen him for years. Poor form Dir G, and poor form from your team. I seriously hope noone ever treats you in a similar way!
