Dr Akhavan has the hands of an angel! He has an impeccable bedside manner, very kind, attentive, thorough and never in a rush. I appreciate how he puts me at ease every single time I have an appointment. The rest of the office staff is very pleasant as well, always with a smile on their faces and trying to the best of their ability to accommodate even last min requests. The office is beautiful, clean and they take all the precautions in re: to Covid. You’re never in the waiting room for a prolonged period of time which is hard to come across in NYC. As a physician myself - I trust Dr Akhavan without hesitation and recommend him to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Akhavan is brilliant!!! He is pleasant, warm, caring and most importantly, he is an expert in his field. I went to him after visiting another dermatologist who had an aesthetician who ruined my face after a facial. After a year of suffering, I decided to visit Dr. Akhavan and he prescribed me medicine that cleared my acne in 3 months. The office staff is so unbelievably helpful and Dr. Akhavan always responds to any follow up questions or concerns. I really can't say enough good things about this doctor and this practice.

I had horribly severe acne for a few years. I saw about seven other dermatologists about it who all told me to get on accutane, but Dr. Akhavan cleared up my acne within a few months without accutane! I receive lasers (I've only received a few within the last few years) for my acne scars and birthmark, and my skin literally looks better every week. 10/10 highly recommend! Best dermatologist out there.

The practice has become too focused on $$ cosmetic dermatology at the expense of quality medical dermatology. After failing to identify the cause of an acute skin condition, Dr Akhavan advocated an inappropriate cosmetic treatment that only exacerbated the problem. Followups were of little worth. Moreover, I was told by other doctors his treatment protocol was completely wrong. Patients seeking help with more complex skin conditions are encouraged to seek help from more qualified doctors with greater understanding of medical dermatology.

Been in the MediSpa space for 33 years. This is all impressive place for derm and esthetics. Highly trained staff.
