As an NYU medical professional and educator, I was highly impressed by Dr. Apicella’s clinical expertise and warm, personable demeanor. Although I initially came in for a routine check-up, she took the time to evaluate a couple of suspicious growths and proceeded with a biopsy. One of the lesions was diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma, and I am grateful for her prompt and thorough assessment. She personally called me as soon as the pathology results were available to discuss next steps and treatment options. Her level of professionalism and attentiveness is truly exceptional.
