Truthfully so confusing how this place operates. I arrived for my 9:30am appointment on time today. By 11am I still had not been seen, no updates were given, and so many patients were in the waiting room that me and another person had to stand because there weren’t enough chairs. If you’re booking more patients than you have seats for in your lobby, that’s greed and incompetence and disregard for people’s time and comfort. I’ve been a patient of theirs for almost 5 years now and it’s gotten worse and worse. Honestly I feel stupid for staying with them for this long thinking they would somehow improve their service. Would not recommend unless you are retired or have the time to spend 1-2 hours waiting for a scheduled appointment. Seriously this office needs to do better. Unprofessional, many bad reviews, needs an intervention. I don’t know who Dr. Jacobo is, but this office is bringing shame to their name.

The dental technician Jalissa left horizontal drill lines on my molars on both sides after a cleaning. She did not take the necessary care. Would advise against being seen by her.

I have been going to this dentist office for about 5 years now. I don’t agree with these disgruntled patients who claim they prioritize Spanish patients. I think certain people want to prioritize themselves by thinking they deserve special treatment for whatever reason. I always received prompt treatment and courteous care.

DO NOT GO HERE! I was seen after weeks of back and forth with the office regarding insurance (which they gave me wrong guidance about). Then I needed a follow up appointment and have been calling the office for THREE weeks straight and cannot get in contact with the office. Dr. Jacobo was kind, it's a shame the office is run this way. Extremely unprofessional. I would recommend you go anywhere else if you want to be seen more than once in your lifetime here.

I never felt any of the dentists, nurses, or receptionists prioritized Hispanics over non-Hispanics. I'm pretty sure Dr. Amarilis Jacobo is Dominican herself, and if you know anything about Dominicans, they are a very tight-knit community (as least from my experience living with Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, and Black Americans and I was born/raised a few blocks from this office). Their comradery with one another does not correlate to the way they treat other people. I have been going to this dentist for a minute, and I ain't going nowhere else. And y'all complaining about the wait times, but literally thats the case with most doctor appointments in NYC. Everyone is BUSY. But anyways, they treat me with kindness here. I have a complex heart condition and they're always on top of it, ensuring each time that my cleanings don't interfere with my heart in any way. There's never been issues with my insurance. And yea, I think they deserve at least 4 stars.
