I credit Tonya Juge, the physical therapist of Tonic PT, with keeping me out of a wheelchair. She is an amazing physical therapist! And I would know, as I had severe scoliosis diagnosed at age 6 and have undergone major spinal surgeries. I cannot overstate how knowledgeable and helpful she's been in improving my ability to stand and walk comfortably.

The definition of “tonic” is “a substance taken to give a feeling of vigor or well-being”. Tonya has named her practice after the all-important “tonic muscles”. But all her treatments, from the actual exercises, her manual manipulations (she LOVES to get her hands on the body to really feel what is going on) to her desire to teach us how to maintain our new-found well-being are also tonics themselves. After I injured my neck in a ski fall, I reluctantly had an MRI to identify the cause of intense, radiating pain down to my left fingertips. The results brought me to tears (stenosis in several places, bulging disks in others) because I saw a life without my favorite activities of tennis and skiing. Within five weeks of working with her, I was back skiing! THANK YOU TONYA for teaching me how to maintain my good fitness. I am so grateful!
