If you’re going to have sinus surgery, you want Dr Aron Pollack to do it. I originally had sinus surgery in 2024 with another surgeon, but I continued to have a series of sinus infections and significant sinus/jaw pain and debilitating headaches. An infectious specialist MD suggested I try Dr Pollack for a consultation, and right off the bat I could tell I was in good hands: unlike a number of other recent doctors, Dr Pollack had not only read my entire medical history, but he had cogent analysis and commentary to add to it. I felt instantly understood, as if my case was being handled by a trusted/devoted relative who somehow had become a top notch doctor. If you’re like me and have had the long period of sinus problems that have you contemplating surgery, you’ve probably received some indifferent or even sloppy treatment/care along the way - the last thing you need is someone making promises without having really researched your case. Dr Pollack is going to treat you as an individual case, not just another person on a production line. The intake/assessment is just the first step of course. I’ve serious sinus disease for 10+ years, and arguably sinus discomfort going back to childhood. Dr Pollack made what I think, and what has turned out to be, the right recommendation with “FESS” surgery. The surgery itself was a walk in the park - I cant promise this for you, but I had zero pain after surgery and merely the standard post-surgery effects in terms of drainage, etc. In the follow up meetings, the complications which I originally brought to the table continued, so Dr Pollack prescribed 2 sinus rinses and a low dose of azithromycin - why? Because he read the situation and factored in the patient’s feedback. I can tell you from personal experience that not all sinus surgeons have the bandwidth/patience for this. I’m now writing approximately 3.5 months from my surgery, and all I can say is, not only do I wish Dr Pollack had done the original surgery, but I wish he’d done this surgery 40 years ago. If you’re at the point where you’re reading reviews of sinus surgery I had two heartfelt recommendations for you: 1. Get it done as soon as possible, and 2. Dr Pollack is the surgeon to do it.
