To preface my past experience, I had a horrible experience with Max A Schwartzman. I vowed to never come back to this hospital because of his lack of compassion, racist comments, and overall experience. I’ll leave it at that. Tonight, I had theeee most HEARTWARMING experience, which honestly changed my entire perspective of this hospital. I met with Dr. Baah, Angela Essel RN, and Wesley Sackley. I don’t remember Mr. Sackley’s title but I’m sure he’s a Dr as well, if not an RN. First off, Dr. Baah is A LITERAL DREAM! I’m crying as I type this because she truly changed my mind about this hospital! She sat beside me, asked me what was going on, and was able to QUICKLY get me the tests needed to determine what was wrong. What stood out for me was her compassion, the way she listened, her overall warmth and true, genuine, care! The bonus for me was that she looked like me, so I felt safe knowing I was in the care of a Black Doctor! Dr. Baah is PHENOMENAL in every sense! She made me feel SAFE, HEARD, and overall RELIEVED! She never dismissed or belittled me the way that horrible Schwartzman person did, so please recognize her for her service!! Nurse Angela was sooo amazing as well! She introduced herself, was polite, listened, understood, and continuously updated me about my lab results. I also met Mr. Sackley and let me say this entire staff during this shift were PHENOMENAL! They may not know this, but as I waited on my results, I watched each staff member working. What made me happy was that each staff member not only worked, they literally asked each other at various points “Are you okay?” I know that sounds random, but to see this team literally care for patients and each other made me cry so bad! I watched Mr. Sackley assist in so many ways, especially with Nurse Angela and it was beyond professional, friendly, and overall amazing! He has such a kind heart, and I noticed he made his team laugh at various points which shows everyone was in a safe and caring environment! You don’t see that much in this world, let alone a hospital! If a nurse had any questions, they were able to rely on each other for answers and not once, did any of them seem annoyed or upset about having to help each other. Although I’m not sure what the conversations were about (I noticed they have a deep regard for HIPAA) I could make out that if anyone needed help, they were quick to assist! I can’t stress this enough, but pleaseeee acknowledge this entire shift for their performance! Patients are definitely watching, and to see so much joy, amazing teamwork, and overall quality care received, mannnn I just can’t stop crying! Thank you so much to everyone mentioned! Because of this team, I have so much more respect and admiration for the future of this hospital! Please reach out to me once they’re acknowledged because this experience CANNOT go unnoticed!!
