I am a 26 year old male, whom was diagnosed with a tumor on my cerebellum. Dr. Jafar Jafar scheduled my surgery in a speedy manner. He is extremely knowledgable, skilled, and compassionate at what he does. I was very optimistic in placing my trust into his hands. My surgery was a success! The operation went smoothly with no complications. He is “Best of the best chief neurosurgeon!” Most kindest and wonderful doctor that I owe my life to, for one of the most traumatizing experience in my life. The staff were also wonderful and caring, during my stay in recovery. I would highly recommend!

I had a brain tumor back in July 2010 and I was referred to Dr Jafar per Dr Anca Askanase's request. Everything was handled beautifully. The staff at NYU were so caring, kind, and compassionate. Especially my nurse, Francisco. Dr Jafar told me what to expect and he also didn't baby me which meant a lot to me because that's not what I needed. I needed to know how to recover well and quickly so that I could continue enjoying my precious life. 8 weeks after my surgery, I was in San Francisco riding bikes with my best friend across the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm posting this 7 years later because he just happened to come across my mind and I was wondering how he was doing. Glad I could still be here to put my two cents in :)
