Concussion Management Of New York

I cannot recommend this place enough. I am a professional dancer and I suffered a concussion during a dance rehearsal. I was given so much conflicting advice about what to do and how to come back to it after weeks of having the same symptoms (dizziness, headaches, brain fog, fatigue, etc.). After meeting with Dr. Gometz and receiving the thorough testing (supported by the tech they have at this office) and emotional validation and support, I finally felt seen and in good care. Big shoutouts to Kyle, Aaron and Eric for their incredible wisdom and help getting me back to what I love to do through a couple months of vestibular physical therapy, eye-tracking exercises, etc. It was expensive because my insurance wasn’t accepted and wouldn’t reimburse but I truly believe it was worth it and many other places would have not been able to even see me for weeks/ don’t have the same level of expertise for athletes that I needed. I would really be lost without this place!

Concussion Management of NY is amazing! I had been feeling lost in my concussion recovery when I stumbled upon them. Dr. Gometz called me right after I submitted an online form and I immediately knew I was in good hands. I was able to get an appointment right away and received an incredibly thorough and comprehensive evaluation - much more so than I had received at other places. They clearly explained to me where I was struggling and my treatment plan going forward. I really appreciate that they are up on the latest research when it comes to concussion treatment. Everyone there is great to work with, and it’s an incredibly warm, supportive environment. They truly care about your progress. If you’re feeling stuck or like no one is taking your symptoms seriously, this is the place to go!
