Bad digestive issues led me to a visit at Dr Michel-Jose Charles office in Brooklyn NY. I am a resident of NJ and the office made my visit comfortable. Low wait time. The Dr was nice understanding and scheduled my colonoscopy quickly and was able to provide my diagnosis promptly. I'm feeling so much better in the inside. Digestive issues can take a toll on you and today I feel great. Truly recommend this Dr Michel-Jose Charles.

I went to Dr. Charles seeking someone who would help find the cause of some concerning back and abdominal pain. If you’re looking for a diagnostician, look elsewhere. This practice is basically a colonoscopy factory and if the results come out normal they will tell you to go back to your primary care physician. Not to mention the colonoscopy experience itself was unpleasant. They scheduled about 30 patients to come in at 8:45 am on a Saturday and only could take in 1-2 at a time so we all had to wait in the order we arrived for 2-4 hours with no food or water after the prep. Some basic scheduling could have been done to stagger patients and make it a much more pleasant experience. Update: Almost 3 months after my colonoscopy I received a bill stating that the facility it was performed at was out of network even though Dr. Charles was in-network and that I was being charged sticker price for a routine procedure. Not to mention that the facility it was performed can't be googled and has no posted phone number anywhere.

Be wary about scheduling a colonoscopy with this doctor. Appointment scheduled for 9am. Arrived at 830 am. Sat in waiting room with no one at reception. Someone finally came down and when I inquired was told that they are at least two hourss behind schedule. Preparing for this procedure is hell and you would expect a doctor who performs this to have care and compassion about time. Instead, I was told he arrived late and that is why they are so far behind. Then the receptionist had the nerve to tell us to reschedule after we found out that more than one of us in the office had the same appointment time.

He has been my doctor for awhile. He took care of my colonoscopy and my endoscopy. He is by far the best in the borough of Brooklyn. His staff and office are always welcoming. To all men and women please go get your colonoscopy done. Thank you Dr. Charles keep uplifting and taking care of your community.

Waste of time. If I could give 0 stars I would I had a 2:45pm appointment and didn't get seen until almost 5pm. He didn't exam. He just told me to get an endoscopy. I got it done and then for 2 weeks i tried to getin contact with him for the results and left multiple messages. It was ONLY when I went back to his office to complain about the billing they did that he returned my call. They told me I needed a follow up appointment to discuss my results. Understandable. I did that. This time I waited and hour and 15 minutes to be seen and paid my copay of $50just for hin to tell me that my results came back negative but to handle the symptoms he wanted me to have family outside of the country get a tablet for me that apparently is banned in the US. REALLY?!?!? Will never recommend him. A waste of $150 in copays AND I'm still waiting for his medical biller to contact me about the issue.
