I received a bill for $84.43 from a debt collector affiliated with Mount Sinai. They indicated that the office of Mariam Baqir submitted a claim for a preventive care examination along with an additional 20-minute consultation, which I did NOT request or consent to. This was a routine annual check-up appointment from over a year ago that I expected to be fully covered by my insurance. I contacted the office to address this issue, but no action has been taken to date. I am very disappointed with the handling of this matter and request that this charge be reviewed and corrected promptly.
