Dr. Bendo performed spinal surgery on my wife June 2017. He was amazing to work with. Spent the time to answer all of our questions and the surgery was a great success. She was in such horrible pain and now almost 8 years later still doing well after the surgery. The nurses at NYU were also amazing. We would highly recommend Dr. Bendo.

Dr Bendo’s surgery was great but one of his NP’s, Samantha, does not understand the actions or side effects of certain medications so I advise not to deal with anyone other than Dr Bendo. Also the physician and hospital billing departments (actually more like a HS yearbook club) can not generate bills that are not denied, usually for math errors, so demand complete records.

2003, Dr Bendo performed a laminectomy and discectomy. 2004, Dr Bendo performed a two level disc replacment 2025, Dr Bendo is to perform a lamimectomy and spinal fusion. He is a GREAT doctor with an terrific "bedside manner". Despite being busy, he is very attentive to his patients needs and has a terrific staff, managed by the incomparable Joanne L.

Doctor Bendo is an excellent surgeon, attentive doctor, and inspiring human being. He performed all three of my spinal fusion surgeries (over the course of 10 years; two of which were the result of car accidents) and by doing so, saved me from certain paralysis. Instead of making me feel like a car-accident victim, he helped me feel like a partner in my own healing—which is why I'm such a staunch advocate and repeat customer. The staff at his office has always been courteous, thoughtful, and supportive. Together, they put the "care" back in "health care." And I can't thank them—or the Good Doctor—enough. I pray I don't need his services again, but if I'm glad to know I have access to his expertise, should I need it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This Doctor mocked me for my pain. Charged me full price for a visit and didn’t look at my MRI. Promised he would that Monday coming up and it’s been weeks I haven’t heard from him and tried following up without reply. I would NEVER recommend him. He took advantage of me and left my crippled on the floor. Crying in pain, and he just rolled his eyes. When someone is in excruciating pain, this type of carelessness only makes it worse and feel helpless.
