I told him that I have stiff shoulder from dry eye but I said that’s not true. It is one basic dry eye symptoms. He doesn’t listen what patients say. Even though I said I have been expecting this for long time but he insists that he was right and I was wrong. Don’t see this doctor.

I'm new to the city from texas and I needed a new eye doctor. I settled with Dr. Battu because it is near my work, and seemed convenient. I had been seeing blurry and just wanted to make sure all was good so I booked an appointment. Easy enough, a quick call and they were able to squeeze me in two days from when I called. They were through giving me the details about my insurance, so that was easy. The appointment itself was fairly quick, nothing out of this world. Brought a book and time flew by. I love a cheery doctor, and Dr. Battu was very nice. The staff was also welcoming and attentive. I recommend him! Other details: The space has cool art, it's probably one of the poshest doctor's offices around. (Margaret Keane, if you ever did watch the film Big Eyes) He also has his own line of glasses, which I thought were hip.

I give Dr. Battu/Battu Vision and his practice a BIG Goose Egg! Don't waste your time or money. This practice is not only disconcertingly unfriendly but grossly incompetent. As someone who never owned a pair of glasses, going to Battu Vision was a huge mistake. After being subjected to three refractions tests and given 2 prescriptions, I still couldn't see correctly through my glasses. Glasses which cost me a lot of money out-of-pocket. I was made to feel like I was incompetent for not just accepting Dr. Battu's prescriptions. It was only after going to another eye doctor and getting yet another refraction test that I finally have the correct prescription and glasses, setting me back even more money out-of-pocket. I was disturbed to find out from my new eye doctor that if I had been given the correct prescription to begin with from Dr. Battu, I would not have needlessly had to spend money on the first pair of glasses (overpriced readers). I reached out to Dr. Battu in the hopes he would do the right thing (due to incompetent eye exams performed). When I promptly called Battu's office not only demanding my records but a refund, I was met w/resistance by Dr. Battu and his staff. Rather than doing right by me, Dr. Battu has taken a lofty and arrogant position, believing his tests and prescriptions were accurate. He doesn't feel I'm owed any money. I'm still waiting for my records. This is shameful practice.

BattuVision is the best! My first visit with Dr. Battu was a good one, and I can say that this has been one of my best experiences at an ophthalmologist and I have been wearing glasses since I was six years old! The staff was professional, informative, attentive and patient. The office décor was very relaxing. When I arrived the general waiting area was a bit warm because they were having the air condition unit repaired that day but once I said something about it I was immediately moved to another cooler waiting area and offered a drink of water while I filled out the usual paperwork. The receptionist was very busy but took the time to answer all my questions (and I can ask many questions), my insurance was a bit complicated but the billing person took her time to sort it out and she also helped me select my frames (a second pair of "eyes" is always helpful when choosing frames), this office has an extensive selection of frames that fits every price range... Dr Battu’s assistant was very patient and made me feel at ease, the Dr was very knowledgeable and took his time and did a thorough test… I don't believe I’ve ever had that many tests done on my eyes before, as always, I dreaded getting my eyes dilated but it was necessary… all the equipment seem up to date. However, I must add, that in my opinion I believe that the doc should smile a bit more :-)!! I would without a doubt, highly recommend BattuVision!

Horrible horrible horrible experience! So I made an appointment and had to wait two weeks (which was fine) I came in during my lunch hour and ended up staying almost 4 hours! He was way over booked! I waited an hour to be seen then when I was the staff was unfriendly and re-asked me all the questions that I filled out on my questionnaire. Then the technician kept leaving to see other patients. Then when I thought I was about to see the doctor they put me back in the waiting room. I waiting another 40 minutes before the doctor saw me. He obviously didn't speak to the technician because he re-asked all the medical question and re-ran some test. He told me I didn't need glasses even though I kept telling him that all the letters on the chart were blurry, he acted like I was lying. He then fit me for contacts and told me to wait 20 mins in the lobby to see how they feel which I told him I couldn't stay any longer and that I had to get back to work. He wanted me to stay to have his receptionist teach me to put contacts in (she even seemed taken aback when he mentioned this to her). I told him that I'd practice at home since I had been there for 4 hours and had to get back to work (I ended up working super late)! Upon check out I find out that being fitted for contacts cost $250 and to get an eye exam cost $75! Apparently none of the insurance they accept covers this cost. Two days later I called since my contacts weren't fitting right and the receptionist told me to come in during lunch to get a new pair. Dr. Battu was extremely rude and told me I could either wait until he could see me or I could come back when he was less busy because and I quote "I don't have time to see every patient that comes back with a problem!". I think he realized what he said since he then told me he would see me after the following patient. I waited 20 minutes. Then when he called me back I asked if he could refund me the $250 since I didn't receive anything that cost remotely that much. Which he said no and that it was "non-negotiable" because he had already looked at my eyes and the $250 was the charge for his GUESS on which contacts I needed. After that he proceeded to give me new contacts and I was on my way. They too don't fit right. The glasses prescription he gave me was weaker than I need and if I want the contacts I have to order them through his website. I already have an appointment else wear that fit me in this week. I do not trust his judgment and I feel like this place is a giant sham. I just want people to be aware of the time this takes and how he does not take responsibility for his mistakes.
