I had a generally fine visit—everything during the appointment itself was professional, and the doctor did what was expected. However, I was surprised and disappointed by the additional fees for prescriptions. On top of the exam co-pay, i was charged $150 for a contact lens prescription to be written out. I was also told that if my contact prescription changed from what i was previously prescribed, the fee can go up to $300. On top of this, if i wanted a glasses prescription written out, i would have been charged another $100.00. These charges feel excessive for what is essentially providing standard documentation following an exam. While the clinical care was adequate, the pricing structure left a negative impression. I would recommend clarifying all fees in advance of booking the appointment if you plan to visit, as i did not find out about the additional fees until i was in office. My previously eye doctor did not charge extra for prescriptions to be written.

Excellent physician — knowledgeable, polite, not rushed. Outstanding office staff. Easily available appointments. My only qualms are with waiting times at the office. Hoping it was only a one off issue. Will come here again.

My experience as a new patient of Dr. Rubinstein was excellent. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a clean and inviting environment. The technicians are personable and professional answering my many questions. Dr. Rubinstein thoroughly examined my eyes, shared what she learned, made recommendations and walked me through the next steps needed prior to my future surgery. Next, I spoke to a navigator who scheduled my follow up appointments. She was clear and transparent about the out of pocket expenses I’d be responsible for not covered by my insurance. I left my appointment feeling safe entrusting my vision to Dr. Rubinstein.

As always, Dr. Rubinstein was efficient, concise & clear in her assessments & recommendations. Her staff, including front desk, were capable, pleasant & helpful. When we went, there was no unnecessary “wait” time, so we appreciated that.

Doctor Rubinstein is very knowledgeable and caring. She's patient in listening and takes her time explaining issues. The staff is friendly as well. My eye issues have improved undee her care. Thank you Doctor Rubinstein!
