charging my insurance thousands of dollars for just a quick camera nose scan. to the point my insurance with $0 copay sent me a copay of few hundreds of dollars which never happened before. beware! charges ridiculous amount for a simple checkup. BEWARE!

I have been a patient of doctor Apicella for more than 10 years. I've worked in the midtown area since graduating School stayed in the area up to my retirement age. Now in Brooklyn it's hard for me to give her up at her 36th Street office. She is lovely a great communicator very thorough in her exams takes her time does not rush, she have a great great personality. the office staff is wonderful I have no complaints whatsoever . She is one of my top three doctors

Dr. Apicella was extremely thorough and friendly. She was very comforting and kind and cared and took the time to make sure she covered all possibilities. I really appreciated her manner and am happy to have found such a lovely doctor. The Front office Staff were also very friendly!!

Beware of being defrauded. During a visit to discuss sinusitis, a casual conversation about an unrelated ailment (hoarseness) was used as an excuse to perform a 30 second visual examination of the throat and charging it at an exorbitant $800. This was billed as a "surgery", believe it or not, because a laryngoscope instrument was used to examine the throat. This happened without specific verbal notification about the relevant financial cost and despite the front desk's advance assurance that the visit would be covered by insurance except for a small co-pay. In other words: without proper consent. Repeated attempts at discussing the charge were met with false promises of callbacks and ultimately complete intransigence. Any reasonable patient would perceive this as an exercise in deception. Beware.
