Rachel Lynn Barr, M.D.

Dr. Barr is my forever doctor. She always answers my questions in the portal quickly and adequately. In the office, she listens with empathy and leaves me feeling calmer than when I came in. She has never dismissed my questions or concerns and has never made me feel rushed. Last but not least, her diagnosis and surgery literally changed my life, and I’ve been basically pain free for years because of her. I cannot recommend her enough. I’m at a point where going to an appointment (though never fun) feels a little more like seeing an old friend than just a doctor.

What a great practice! Today I met with Dr. Barr who was thorough and thoughtful. Everything you want in a GYN. She took her time and was also ON TIME. In fact everyone was on time in this practice and I was even able to have an ultrasound procedure right after my exam. Very happy and highly recommend.

I am totally shocked to see negative reviews for Dr. Barr! My experience under her care was absolutely excellent and every practitioner I've had since has been amazed by her skill as a surgeon. I was extremely anxious about my procedure and she took time to answer every question and concern. She's a super talented, kind and knowledgeable doctor - I'd be very comfortable recommending her to family and friends.

Went to see Dr. Barr a few times with reoccurant infections. She was not helpful in any way to try to get to the cause of why they kept coming back and said everything looked normal until she tested me n discovered i had BV. After that i went to see another doctor who was much better within the practice and diagnosed me with a deeper underlying infection requiring antibiotics that was causing my infection. I had to come back n get retested after taking the medicine and could only get an appointment with DR. Barr. After two weeks of waiting for results she informed me she sent it to the wrong lab that didn’t take my insurance cause she forgot to check what insurance i had and made me come back in to re-swab. She acted extremely unapologetic and when i asked if we can rush these results cause i will be waiting for almost a month now she said she couldn’t do that. Terrible doctor. I will never be going to her again.

This may have been one of the worst experiences I have had. I came in because the Dr. is in my network for my insurance. Insurance itself is expensive and I have what is known as good health insurance (Oxford). I was trusting that things would be managed accordingly and I would be connected with providers under my insurance. Wrong. They have been billing for everything and anything under the sun without ever informing me that these providers were not covered by my insurance. I mentioned the No Surprises Act that went into effect in January 2022 and they seemed to be unaware of what it was. Please, if you’re reading this, take my advice and go with another provider.
