After 13 years of terrible lower back pain I was referred to Dr Ahmed, in my first visit after examining MRI and X Rays he concluded that surgery was the way to go, my surgery was done on June 12/24. And it was a complete success, I had a disc replaced, and a fusion on L4 and L5 . With the help of therapy I am having a quick recovery, also want to congratulate the staff of Legent Hospital these people were amazing. Thank you for restoring my life.

Google review (Tessa Hunt): Dr. Ahmed is very attentive, listens to your questions and ensures his patients understand everything that will occur during surgery. I recently had C3-4, C4-5, and C5-6 cervical vertebra fused with spacers between the vertebra and screws to hold them in place. I was sore and tender for a couple weeks but was soon out of my neck brace and it’s been a little less than 3 months since my surgery, I feel like a million dollars! All arm pain, burning, and tingling is gone, I can sleep all night again, etc. There is no other surgeon and entire staff at Brain & Spine Team I would recommend over Dr. Ahmed and his staff! By far the best ever. I am so fortunate and lucky to have him as my surgeon and his staff supporting my needs, questions and concerns! Respectfully, Jeff Hunt

Google review (A A): I took my brother in to see Dr. Ahmed, as he just moved to Texas and needed a new neurosurgeon. He had been seeing the same one for over 22 years in Arizona. My brother has a shunt in his brain, and a cyst his previous doctor has been keeping an eye on. Because of recent charges in my brother's moods, and further decline with his memory, I wanted to make sure the shunt had the correct settings. I also wanted to establish him with a new neurosurgeon in Texas to keep an eye on his cyst. Dr. Ahmed introduced himself, then said, he doesn't need surgery, so why is he here. I told him his nurse had scanned the last 5-6 years of his records into their system, but he said he doesn't have time to look at records. If he even looked at his last appointment, he would have seen he has a shunt, and a cyst. After I told him about the cyst, he took 30 seconds to look at it, then said, I wouldn't worry about it. Then he told me to bring him back when he needed surgery. You're supposed to arrive 45 min prior to your appointment, so we arrived at 1pm for his 145pm appointment. We didn't get seen until close to 3pm, and the doctor spent about 3 min. for that appointment. He was extremely rude, arrogant, and very, very rushed. I wouldn't bring my brother back to see this hack who only seems to want to do surgeries. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone who wants compassionate and outstanding care from a neurosurgeon. He was not interested in checking my brother's shunt to see if the settings were correct, and totally disregarded me when I asked. Run, don't just walk away from this "doctor". He seems borderline incompetent, uncaring, and is very rushed. Not any qualities to look for in a good surgeon.
