Maha Awikeh, M.D.

She is the best doctor. She will follow up on everything to make sure everything is ok. For the people wanting a quick doctor visit, this isn't the right place because she will take the time to ask her patients all the questions. And the people working at the front desk are all amazing. They will look at who is sitting down in the waiting area and ask them who are they here to see. Thank you Dr. Maha Awikeh.

Dr. Maha is kind, respectful, and listens to her patients. She is truly wonderful, as is the entire medical staff there, except for the blonde-haired receptionist. She is rude, doesn’t treat patients well, keeps sighing, and behaves inappropriately. I hope she is either replaced or advised to improve her behavior. This is a workplace, not a place where people come to beg from her. Thank you.

From the first visit with Dr. Awikeh, it was clear for me that she truly cared... ! Dr. Awikeh takes time to listen attentively, ensuring that every concern is addressed. Her kindness made a world of difference for me especially when dealing with health concern that can be overwhelming. She explains everything thoroughly to make sure you understand. I feel confident in my care. If you are looking for a PCP who is highly skilled and well -rounded , she is one. I, sincerely, highly recommend her, and I, definitely, feel fortunate to have found her. Thank you!

Not only has Dr. Maha been my doctor for years, but she’s the only doctor I would recommend to anyone! She’s very compassionate, caring and truly takes her time with you while you’re in her office. What I love is that she will always check up on you after just to see if you’re doing better! She takes time with all her patients and makes her patients feel that they will get better especially while being under her care. There have been many instances where I was sick and needed to be seen urgently and she would make sure I got the proper care I needed.

Dr. Awikeh is an excellent doctor with excellent support staff. I have been her patient for many years. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, listens to her patients, and provides thoughtful appropriate referrals. She calls me to follow up about specific test results. She has had my vote of confidence for years. The transition to NYU has added a layer of bureaucracy to the office (I miss the intimacy of her solo practice), but NYU is a great network and I believe the move is a good one for her and her patients. Dr. Awikeh has proven to be an excellent advocate for me within the NYU system.
