Lawrence George Herbert, M.D.

I had a similar experience to a few others here on Zocdoc. Initially, the office had a good reputation, but when I visited, I was disappointed. The office was extremely dirty, and the smell of cigarettes and old lunch boxes was pervasive. I underwent several blood tests, for which I later received a bill. However, I never received any follow-up from Dr. Lawrence. Despite my attempts to reach out via email and phone calls, leaving messages, I have not received any callbacks. The email address he provided for availability seems to be inactive. This level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable, and I am still in the dark about the results of my blood tests.

Had lots of blood tests taken for a pain condition and haven’t heard back since May. I have called the office regularly (and left messages) and emailed. Really odd. He seemed like a really awesome guy. Came for my physical and other stuff. Very nice and helped navigate insurance and billing codes as a doctor should. But I’m going to have to find a new doctor because Dr. Herbert ghosted me. Update. He called me 2 months later. He was nice but this left a bad taste in my mouth overall. Will be switching doctors. He said he would be on top of helping me figure out my health issue but lacked follow up, communication, and interest. But I will make it clear he was always polite when we spoke.

Dr. Herbert is a very understanding and compassionate doctor. He is very attentive and has good bedside manner. He always takes the time to listen and always gives me hope that things will be okay. I would recommend this doctor to anyone and am happy to have been his patient for as long as I have. As a doctor and as a human being he gets 5 stars!

Dr. Herbert has a lovely attitude, and his personality is congenial, charming and fun That said, I have never received my blood test results. Despite numerous follow ups, there has been no response from the doctor. I feel bad writing a 1 star review, but receiving my blood test results and being able to take action on them is important to my health and wellbeing. I now must undergo another physical with a different doctor in order to receive this information.

Dr. Lawrence is is kind, easy to talk to, and really understanding. When he brought up my bad habits, he did it in a way that didn’t make me feel ashamed. He acknowledged the struggles I was facing, including stress and mental health, and actually took the time to ask about me. Because he approached it with empathy instead of judgment, I really listened—and a year later, I had lost weight and ditched the bad habits.
