Google review (Evan Faulkenberry): I had a double microdiscectomy at L4–L5 and L5–S1 with Dr. Jeffrey Goldstein in NYC and the results have been incredible.
I lived with back and leg pain on and off for about 15 years, but in recent years the frequency and duration increased considerably and this past year it was almost constant. Physical therapy, injections, and a long list of doctors never fixed it. I am only six days post-op, and when I woke up from surgery, the nerve pain that had been dragging me down for years was gone. There is normal surgical soreness, but the pain that actually mattered disappeared immediately.
Dr. Goldstein was clear, confident, and straight to the point. From the first visit, he laid out my options, walked through the pros and cons of each, and supported my decision. I left that appointment feeling confident that he was the right surgeon for this procedure.
The anesthesia team was flawless, I felt absolutely nothing. 10/10 experience.
The nursing staff was excellent. Everyone was professional, calm, and on top of things.
The MyChart app also made everything easy. Forms, pre-op info, updates, and messaging were simple, and the team was very responsive.
I would highly recommend Dr. Goldstein to anyone who is going through similar issues.
Thank you Dr. Goldstein!

Google review (Dmitriy Goldgisser): Dr. Jeffrey Goldstein at NYU is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He operated on my father in 2012 to fix problems from a prior surgery, and again in the summer of 2025 after severe neuropathy left him barely able to walk or move his toes. Since then, my father walks more steadily, uses his walker far less, and has regained some feeling in his toes.
Both surgeries had no complications and required less anesthesia because of Dr. Goldstein’s efficiency. We are very grateful for his care and highly recommend him. Our only regret is not listening to him sooner in 2018—my father likely wouldn’t need a walker today.

Google review (Robin Fennimore): I had a frustrating experience with NYU Langone at Trinity regarding my workers’ compensation case.
After being asked to gather and submit extensive information — including insurance details, case numbers, adjuster contacts, and medical documentation — I was later informed that Dr. Goldstein does not treat fractures and they were unable to schedule me. I don't have a a fracture and never implied I did!
This is something that could have been clarified upfront before requesting so much time and effort on my end. For patients dealing with serious injuries, especially through workers’ comp, clear communication and proper triage are critical.
Instead, this process delayed my ability to get appropriate care and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. I would strongly recommend that the office improve how they screen cases before requesting detailed documentation from patients.

Google review (Nikko Klaus): My appointment was first the afternoon but they wanted to change in the morning. I agreed to the condition that I would be able to make my echo cardiogram and stress test appointment at 11:30 am
I get there at 8:45 am, the staff was professional and was taken in within a half hour. After going over everything and taking x-rays, I had to wait a long period of time for him to finally see me(while in a gown). After apologizing for the wait, he didn't want to hear me out and only wanted to fuse my spine at the upper level. I have had 6 prior back surgeries and been dealing with extreme lower back pain with shooting pain from my buttocks down to my feet. He asked which is worse and didn't want to address my lower back pain. He didn't agree with the 5 surgeons I saw prior to him and just cared about the fusion. From other surgeons, the nerve pain is from L4-5 and L5-S1, not from the upper back. When he saw I knew what I was talking about, he just wanted to get out of the room and gave me no other options. When I pressed him, he said to get some injections and was ready to leave, I then asked is he could refer someone and then he did and left
He made me wait a significant time to see him and then rushed the consultation, all within 10 minutes. I thought he is supposed to be this well renowned spine surgeon but I will completely disappointed. He also made me late for my other appointment. Do your research before choosing this doctor!

Google review (Kelly F): I came to Dr. Goldstein after months of pain. Being a professional Dancer/Teacher, I wasn’t able to do the one thing I love the most. Previously having two cervical spine surgeries with a different doctor. Knowing that if revision surgery was needed, it would be complex . I was determined to find the best spine surgeon to handle it. I had my surgery with Dr. Goldstein on 6/24/25 involving a laminectomy, posterior fusion (C7-T1), and anterior discectomy (C7-T1) combined approach. The entire experience at the hospital, from start to finish, was amazing! The surgery was successful! My original pain is gone. I’m healing and getting stronger everyday. I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Goldstein.
