Google review (Jenni G): This is a review more so for the Mott OBGYN Brooklyn office location (849 57th Street 2nd Floor) but it doesn't show up on Google. I went here before and Dr. April Li was my gynecologist, she was very sweet and efficient. Fast forward to 2024, I got pregnant and came to this office for confirmation and beginning my prenatal care. Dr. Li was no longer available for the days I could come into the office so another female doctor (who's name I forgot because she prescribed under Dr. Edward Chan's name) began my prenatal care. She was very rude and lacked empathy. I told her I was experiencing bleeding/spotting in the beginning and she brushed it off saying it was normal, the next time I came I told her it hadn't stopped she yelled at me saying I should have told her last appointment so she could prescribe me something. She let my husband come in to see the ultrasound the 1st time and then told me he could no longer come in for any other appointments because she was uncomfortable with it. Absolutely ridiculous. The office is also super outdated with paper filing still. Non-real time medical billing charging high deposits in case things aren't covered. No a/c or fan in a very stuffy waiting room and all the chairs are worn and damaged. Would not recommend this place at all!

Google review (Jaimie R): agree with other reviews of ridiculous wait times, cramped and dirty waiting rooms. I didn't even see the doctor because of how long the wait time was. They overbook their patients and women are packed into the waiting room where there aren't even enough chairs (20+) people

Google review (Tommy Dong): First of all, DR Chan is fine - he seems to be a nice person and cares about his patients. However, his office (BK location) does an extremely poor job of keeping patients informed of wait time - they must have a very outdated system or everything is paper based. I understand that he is very busy but a wait time of 2+ hours for regular visits (with appointment) shouldn't be acceptable to any patient. What is the point of having appointment if a patient still needs to wait for 2+ hours? This has happened to almost every visit that my wife went. Also, one of the nurses is rude and always talk to you in bad mood. The receptionist is not helpful either - she would keep telling you to wait, without giving any expected wait time regardless how many times you ask.
If you hate long wait time for every visit, please do NOT go to this office.

Google review (Michelle Huang): Made an appointment here (aka Mott Women Healthcare that states permanently closed on the internet…weird) with Dr. Li and still had to wait more than 1.5 hours to be seen. Doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me for an annual check up. The intake lady
can barely speak English so communication was poor. The receptionist was not friendly. They scheduled too many appointments for the same slot. I will not see a doctor who does not respect their patients’ time. Dr. Li, your time is NOT more important than mine.

Google review (Lauren): Dr Chan is a great doctor with excellent bedside manners. His appointments run late because he never rushes his patients and is very thorough. I had to wait over an hour during my 2 recent visits.
If you can be patient, he won’t disappoint you. But if unpredictable wait time is an issue for you, this will not be the right place for you.
