Dr. Derek Chong is a true master of his craft. I have been seeing Dr.Chong since he was at NYU and followed him to Lenox Hill. I do not trust anyone else with my neurological care. If you’ve ever been in a medical situation where you feel helpless and do not know what is wrong and just want someone to listen and help you figure it out, this was me. After years of misdiagnoses, Dr. Chong was the only Dr. who was able to quickly recognize my symptoms and diagnose me with seizures, after 5 years of suffering. He has impeccable bed side manor and is the most patient Dr I’ve ever come in contact with. He truly cares for his patients which seems more and more rare these days. I think my life would look very different had I not met him. I have been under his care for over 10 years and can say, he truly changed my quality of life. I do not know where any negative reviews could come from which is why I write this review. I think we all need to realize post-COVID, hospitals are strapped and good care is hard to come by. I agree and recognize his office could at times be better organized but this is not a representation of his competence or how great of a doctor he is. It’s a representation of how many patients he has and how few of him there are left in this field of specialty… remember he is a specialist. If he’s running a few minutes behind, trust he will give that same amount of time to you. If you found Dr. Chong, you have found a blessing and will be well taken care of. If only there were more doctors like him!

This office appears to run a medical scam. It should be illegal to toy with anyone's health conditions as if they're a playground. There was an hour wait time the first time I went to the office. I waited patiently because I was told he had an emergency with another patient. He apologized and the appointment went smoothly. 10 months later, two appointments, and countless calls to his office, and I still haven't received any updates on the medical device which he confirmed I needed. Now I have to restart the tedious process to find a specialist who is committed to delivering care. Do not go to Dr. Chong's office. He may see you but ultimately he and his team will neglect your medical needs.

Dr. Chong saved my life. I have been under his care since 2017. He is knowledgeable, patient, caring, supportive and able to discuss complex medical conditions in a way that is easy to understand. I have always felt heard and he has taken each symptom seriously in order to diagnose and treat a complex illness and set of conditions. Dr. Chong has a great network of other physicians who are leaders in their field, both in their practice and as scholars at the forefront of medicine. Under Dr Chong's leadership, these physicians help treat the various symptoms related to my illness. They work together seamlessly with Dr. Chong making my overall care more effective and easier for me. I feel so thankful to be Dr Chong's patient and highly recommend him.

Ny wife has seen this doctor on a few occasions where test were oerformed. Ut has now been more than 6 weeks since the last test and this guy gas not provided us with any information regarding results. We have received multiple promises that he would return our cals yet be er has done so. My wife continues to have unexplained seizures with no information. Patient care seems to be the last thing on this man's mind. Aviid at all costs.

Dr. Chong Saved my life in 2010 He was the only Doctor who understood my Type of Seizures and knew that the best option was Surgery to save me ! He is very family type Doctor.. I'll put my trust on him anytime I'll have to
