Carlos Enrique Almeida, MD

Dr. Almeida is a very insightful and caring practitioner. I have multiple health challenges and he spends a great deal of time with me trying to get to the bottom of some puzzling symptoms. I would highly recommend him , although he is so busy that he may not be taking new patients.

As far as Dr. Almeida goes, the visit went fine and he seemed genuinely interested in my health. Regrading the office staff, (receptionist and billing), I have connecticare and in 2026 the member ID's for marketplace insurance changed due to the acquisition by Molina. Rather than the staff trying to confirm my eligability and coverage, they kept telling me your ID is invalid. I offered screen shots from the connecticare website but they did not want to have any of it. I also asked them to run the information through Availity (which other offices in Trinity are very familiar with), but this office had no knowledge of this website. Two days later I received an invoice for self-pay. They may zero attempt to submit the claim to the insurance company. I called the office immediately and 2 days later no response. I called Trinity Health billing and spoke to Cathleen (customer service), and she was extremely helpful. She took the time to go into the connecticare portal and confirm that my my insurance was actived and i was covered. She also used Availity to confirm this (which DR. Almeida's office refused to do). Cathleen did have to manually enter the claims address because it was not coming up in the dropdown. I explained to the office staff that connecticare was aquired my Molina and that the rollout was taking a bit longer than they anticipated and that the providers portals may not reflect all of the new changes, but this fell on deaf ears. Thank goodness fo Cathleen as she took care of the issue and when she was done I told her she was the very best. I also asked her why the office could not do the same thing she did and she said that they can and was also confused as to why they did not and just opted for self pay. I am petrified to go back to this office for fear of having to go through the same issues. The next level up in management needs to address this issue and I'm happy to discuss should anyone like to reach out to me. Thank you.

Dr Almeida is a gifted physician who has an excellent medical knowledge base and. Provides compassionate care. . He runs on time and takes the time to listen to his patients. As a retired physician, I recommend him highly.

Dr Almeida, thankfully was able to take me on as a new patient, as my Dr retired last Dec. I appreciate his punctuality , thoroughness and respect for my choices and decisions. It's so important that patients feel heard during their appointments. His assistant was efficient and friendly as well.

Dr Almeida is one of the best Dr I have ever been to, he spends time with you and explains everything I feel he always goes above and beyond in the care he provides and never rushes to get you in and out
