Alexander Bakis, M.D.

I wanted to schedule an appointment with Dr. Alexander Bakis for my mother, as I had heard many great things about him as a doctor. However, my experience with his receptionist, Lena, was beyond unpleasant. She was incredibly rude, dismissive, and outright disrespectful over the phone. Unfortunately, this kind of attitude is not uncommon among Russian-speaking staff in Brooklyn, but her behavior was on another level of unprofessionalism. Such treatment of patients is completely unacceptable. It was so appalling that it made me reconsider whether I even wanted to visit this doctor’s office. A medical office should be a place where people feel respected and welcomed, not one where they are treated with hostility. This kind of communication not only fails to inspire respect but also destroys trust in the entire practice. I strongly urge Dr. Bakis to reconsider his choice of staff and hire someone who is professional, polite, and capable of treating people with basic decency—someone who is not taking out their personal frustrations on patients.
