Alan Kaufman, M.D.

You know I don't know what's going on with Dr. Kaufman's office. You can't get anyone on the phone and once I got in touch with Dr. Michaels personally she made sure that I got my appointment and my medicine. Dr. Michael's helped me out a lot with getting my problem solved. Now to my understanding I'm finding out today not from the office but contacting her personally that she will no longer be with Dr. Kaufman's practice. What's going on?

I have never encountered such an unprofessional office. I was made wait an hour to be given false information about requirements for my insurance. When I called back, I was told I can only speak to someone in person and then the clerk hung the phone on me. Do not waste your time as you will not get accurate information, nor will they give you the full name ( I was told that I spoke to Bill, no role or last name given) of the people who give you inaccurate information when you call to try to straighten things out.

I agree with one of the other reviews. i called to get information after being "somewhat" referred by my dermatologist office in the same building needless to say the building is not consistent with customer service smh The doctor came off as arrogant and bothered by his tone of voice. I clearly was interrupting him. i politely ended the call without making an appointment, which is disappointing because i live in the Throggs neck area and looking to find doctors that weren't too far. Sometimes convenience isn't the better way to go. I can definitely understand why most are willing to travel far for consistent great service.

Don't even bother coming to this place, this doctor only cares about co-payments. He's very rude and unprofessional and want to charge you co-payments that your insurance ALREADY covers and if you decline to pay because you are aware of what your insurance covers, he refuses to see you. Save yourself the aggravation and search for a better doctor.

The doctor was very arrogant and nasty. He wanted me to give him my deductible right away and wouldn’t take me until I paid. So the doctor is there for the money not the patient. I do not recommend for anyone to see him. I just walked out. Very nasty. Not professional at all.
