I was very impressed with Dr. Bhandary. He spent a lot of time listening and he answered questions and concerns thoroughly showing he has great bedside manners. He came across as very knowledgeable and patient-centered. Highly recommend him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Bhandary for first time this week and from moment he walked into exam room he exuded a feeling of friendship,comfort and understanding. I have complicated medical history caused by failed spinal hardware that corroded and released heavy metal ions into my body for many years and contained nickel which i had developed allergy to. A rare occurance that causes bodies immune system to attack the body and affect every organ and body function including heart where i had enlarged heart and heart palpatations along with irregular rhythm,prior to removal of hardware. Dr Bhandary took time to read thru my extensive medical history prior to him entering exam room and then proceeded to explain past cardio test results taking time to explain each result in plain simple English reassuring me that my heart was healthy and functioning at about average rate for my age group. He then changed my BP meds where i saw a 20% decrease after first day of taking. Upon completion of exam,which was done in totally unrushed fashion,he personally came to receptionist desk to ensure I got follow up appointment for 4 weeks so that he could evaluate my tolerance to new medication along with evaluating effectiveness. He finished up by saying goodbye with his great smile which was evident from moment he first introduced himself. As a man who has seen hundreds of DRs in past decade due to my many Hospitalizations and over 50 diagnosed conditions nearly all of which have rectified after removal of my medical implants I would rate him in top 1% of DRs I have seen and would highly recommend him due to his knowledge and way he treated me a fellow human being. I was also very impressed by his nursing staff and receptionist staff as all exuded a feeling of warmth and hapiness which tells a lot about a facility.

In 2022, Dr. Bhandary oversaw the care of my father-in-law after he suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest. Everything about the situation was delicate and critical. While the ER team at Northern Westchester had saved my FiL's heart, his organs were still in failure, he needed full life support and we know he had gone some time without oxygen to his brain during the event. Dr. Bhandary must have made every right choice possible in my FiL's care, because a week later and he was extubated, awake, and of sound mind and body. Within WEEKS he was back to full activity, biking and fishing and driving. Dr. Bhandary and his team are nothing short of miracle workers. Not only that, but the kindness and care that he showed me, my husband, and my mother in law that week was the epitome of compassionate care. He answered all of our questions thoughtfully and gave us just the right amount of hope to hold on to. Dr. Bhandary is a world class doctor, and an amazing leader of the coronary care unit at Lenox Hill.
