Dr. Chessin provided exceptional care throughout my fistula surgery and recovery process. From the very first consultation, he was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, treatment plan, and what to expect during recovery. His surgical skill and expertise gave me a great sense of confidence and comfort during a very stressful time. The surgery itself went smoothly, and I truly appreciate the attention and care he showed before and after the procedure. He was attentive to my concerns, patient with questions, and made sure I felt supported every step of the way. His staff was also kind, organized, and professional, which made the overall experience even better. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Chessin’s excellent treatment and highly recommend him to anyone seeking care for fistula surgery or colorectal issues. His skill, professionalism, and genuine concern for his patients make him an outstanding surgeon.

Incredible surgeon and a genuine human being. Dr Chessin was there for me every step of the way. My diagnosis came suddenly, as a result of an MRI for an unrelated issue. Dr Chessin made the time to see me right away. I was scared, but he took the time to help me understand and feel comfortable about the entire process. I always had a direct line of communication with him or his office before surgery and he checked in on me often during my hospital stay without an entourage of residents. I am grateful to have him in my corner should I ever have another battle with Crohn's disease.

I underwent two surgeries with Dr. Chessin. While he was professional, my experience overall was disappointing. Prior to my second surgery, I felt rushed through appointments and found my questions and concerns — particularly regarding alternatives and potential outcomes — were largely dismissed rather than thoughtfully addressed. Given the condition I was dealing with, it was quite traumatizing. Nearly two months later, I am still dealing with significant pain and scarring, and I do not feel I was adequately prepared for the recovery process or fully supported afterward. Because of this experience, I ultimately decided to seek follow-up care elsewhere. Patients deserve to feel heard, informed, and taken seriously when making decisions about repeat procedures, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.

Excellent Dr. Chessin. Explains everything that is going to be done,in plain English that you can understand. Great bedside manner. Does his best to keep you calm. Couldn't ask for a better Dr. I recommend him 100%
