I had a complex surgery and I was very pleased with the outcome. It was successful in that I no longer have the severe pain that was affecting my quality of life. I would highly recommend Dr Chan to anyone requiring spinal surgery. He was knowledgeable, able to explain complex procedures in a way that I could understand. He was compassionate and kind.. Thank you Dr Chan.

Dr. Chan is amazing his care for my needs were above and beyond exceptional. I had neck surgery from my C2 til my C6 and I can say I have full motion of my neck, and I am actually completely better than when I went in and have not had any pain since.

I feel truly blessed to have found Dr. Andrew Chan. He is certainly a most highly skilled neurosurgeon but is also a most caring and compassionate individual as well. Spinal surgery is overwhelming and scary but Dr. Chan somehow has a calming effect on you. He never rushes you and carefully looks for the best course of treatment using the most advanced and minimally invasive techniques available. I had severe spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis at the L4-5 level. I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes or walk more than 1-2 blocks without having to sit. I had tingling and numbing in my feet. I had 4 epidurals and PT over the course of 2 years. Nothing seemed to help. I went to 3 other surgeons prior to going to Dr. Chan. I was told I needed a spinal fusion. When I went to Dr. Chan he told me that he could perform the surgery going in through the side, a lateral approach (LLIF). This would be a significantly quicker and less painful recovery. It would also enable him to put in a larger cage which would give more stability to the spine. None of the other surgeons offered this approach!! He was so right - I had a minimal amount of pain after the surgery, was out of the hospital in less than 24 hours and had a miraculously fast and easy recovery. Everyone who saw me was amazed at my recovery. They would all say "wow- who was your surgeon"? I think they almost didn't believe that I had a spinal fusion. I am now totally symptom and pain free. I can walk and stand for as long as I want. I feel 10 years younger- thanks to DR. Chan! If you need a spine surgeon I strongly recommend that you go to Dr Chan for a consultation. He is nothing short of amazing. I am truly grateful to him!

Dr. Chan is an exceptional surgeon and a genuinely compassionate person. When we learned how serious my husband’s condition was, we sought out a top neurological spine specialist, with the most advanced expertise and resources. We’re so thankful our search brought us to Dr. Chan. From the very beginning, he instilled confidence with his thorough, thoughtful, honest and kind demeanor. He and his entire team were always attentive and ready to answer our numerous questions. They listened closely to our concerns and made us feel truly heard. My husband was diagnosed with a tumor that was severely compressing his spinal cord at T3-T4 along with severe stenosis at T11-T12. Over a period of 3-4 months, he lost the ability to stand and walk. Thanks to Dr. Chan’s skill and care the results of the surgery were nothing short of life-changing. My husband is pain free and walking again. Our experience with Dr. Chan and Och Spine hospital was outstanding from start to finish. Our family is profoundly grateful.

To say that, Dr. Andrew Chan is good at what he does, would be an understatement. I have lived with and have had multiple surgeries over 8 yrs to correct an abnormal spinal problem without success. Dr. Chan and his team performed surgery on me in February 2025. I couldn't have been happier with the prognosis thus far. The compassionate care, dedication to patient, and willingness to answer questions before and after surgery and all overall professionalism is something that has been missing in this industry for many years. If you're looking for a good surgeon in his field, l will strongly recommend you stop your search and have a consultation with him. You would be glad you did. I promise you!
