Aishat Anuoluwapo Bakare, MD

I must say we really enjoyed our visit with Dr. Bakare-Okpala. She was professional, yet she has excellent bed manner. My son has ASD and is considered nonverbal and he is 4. He was so comfortable with her. We included my son's school rather the social worker at our school to give further insight on why we needed a letter from Dr. Bakare-Okpala. She asked questions to get a better understanding and her main concern was making sure my son is put in the right educational setting. That meant the world to myself and my fiancé. She didn't just stop at the letter, she gave referrals so my son could receive further services and have it covered by the insurance. I definitely recommend Dr. Bakare-Okpala

Look no further…Dr. Bakare sees my toddler every few months for his CP. She is patient, thorough, and always answers promptly when I’ve messaged her through the nyu app with questions. This is the first time any of my kids have ever needed to see a specialist of this caliber. She’s the type who gives her all to the job. It’s really good to feel that way about someone who provides important care for vulnerable kids. She is also a mom, so maybe that’s why? I’ve never felt rushed or talked-over when discussing my son’s needs. I feel so lucky we found her on the first try.
