Google review (brea Thompson): Would have loved to leave a great review however this morning after a 6 month wait this office called our home and told us they didn’t get pre approval for my daughters appointment. Funny thing is the lady actually asked me for the number to call (it’s her job to call billing so perhaps she can google or idk look up insurance information) when we asked why they waited until the day of she got defensive and of course anyone would be mad so my husband asked why she was so incompetent on her job-why wait until the morning of when people are already driving the hour to this place? Words on BOTH sides were exchanged (however I’m sure the lady was excellent at playing a victim) and the office manager ended up calling my phone later to inform me that the doctor said my daughter wasn’t special enough to be seen at his office she didn’t fall into the criteria and the doctor did this as a favor to another doctor case that’s appropriate right so glad my 16 year old heard the office lady say she isn’t special enough. They canceled the appointment after my husband got mad for lack of communication and lack of medical billing. We’ve been sending in paperwork since November (because according to the office staff it was our job to send it in even though children’s mercy sent it multiple times) but yet again it was lost. Funny thing is after they canceled the appointment children’s mercy called and told me they sent that referral multiple times yet this office claims they could never be reached. This isn’t a game-it’s a child’s health and now we have to wait longer for a different place to help my child. I’m glad I recorded the conversation we had with the lady who called because I have reached out to the medical board of Missouri to file a complaint. This whole office has been a joke-they loose paperwork ask for phone number to insurance billing when it’s literally their job to call and clearly wait until last minute to cancel because parents get upset that they are incompetent at medical billing. Picture included is my daughters skin that according to this office isn’t special enough. As for the doctor say what you want but people need to know how your staff treats others and if the don’t want people upset the clear thing would be to do your job. This all could have been avoided if your billing department actually did a job they were hired to do.
