rarely leave reviews, but I feel people need to be aware of what my family and I experienced here. If you are Black, I do not recommend this office. They are big liars and the front desk is very rude!! From the very beginning, my family and I were treated noticeably differently than the Spanish families. The difference in tone, attitude, and overall energy was very clear—especially from the front desk staff. The receptionist consistently treated us coldly, while Spanish families were greeted warmly. Dr. Maria always had a mean, dismissive look when interacting with me and my family. She did not make us feel cared for or respected as patients and often rushed us out. The only reason I stayed with this office as long as I did was because it was close to my home. There is clear racism in this office. The front desk repeatedly played games when I requested my children’s paperwork to be sent over. On one occasion, my daughter needed a physical. Carlos told me to come in, but when I arrived, I was told he wasn’t working that day. I asked if another nurse could assist, and they refused, claiming she was “busy,” even though it was only my family and one other family waiting. I had already spent $80 on a cab to get there quickly. After arguing with the front desk, they finally completed the paperwork and had the doctor sign it. Recently, I got into an argument with John Carlos after repeatedly asking him to complete required paperwork for my children—which he never did. He also lied about transportation services. I had to raise my voice just to get him to help with transportation and paperwork. Other people in the office noticed how differently we were being treated. Instead of taking accountability, he told me to find another doctor. The office environment is also unprofessional. The outside of the building is dirty, and the inside is poorly maintained and in need of serious repairs. Overall, the energy in this office was always off toward me and my family. I do not recommend this place at all. They are only pleasant when it comes to rescheduling my children’s appointments. Outside of that, there is no professionalism or care. It feels like the only thing they are concerned about is money.
