The doctor was incredibly unprofessional. As soon as we met, he started attacking me personally, saying that my weight was due to laziness and overeating. When I explained that I had just given birth to my second baby four months ago, he dismissed it and repeated that I was simply lazy and indulgent. He then went on and on about his past patients who had gastric surgery and how much weight they lost. I found his views offensive—he implied that being overweight was shameful and unworthy of respect. I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in surgery as a method to control my weight, yet he continued pushing it, bringing up other patients and even a story about a mother whose daughter was embarrassed by her size at her wedding, leading the mother to undergo surgery. I can’t understand how a doctor like this got licensed; he was sarcastic, personally attacking, and pushing surgery nonstop. If you're prepared to be verbally attacked by this male doctor, then go ahead and see him.
