Dr. Yakubov is an excellent doctor. He is very comforting and easy to deal with. He is highly knowledgeable and knows exactly what he is doing. He respects your appointment time, takes his time with you, listens carefully to your concerns, and explains everything in detail, making sure you fully understand. He is also very compassionate. Honestly the best doctor I have ever dealt with in my whole life.

I forgot about writing this review regarding my services from Dec 2024-April 2025 until I got ANOTHER surprise bill from a different Manhattan Speciality Care doctor this week. I saw Dr. Rimawi for two different podiatry needs during this period, and realized many months later that this practice and their doctors habitually bill insurance 6+ months later and with crippling surprise charges. I found Dr. Rimawi on ZocDoc, and I had asked the front desk staff when they called to confirm my appointment and before EVERY appointment during check-in whether I would need to pay anything beyond my insurance co-pay. The said no, and they kept booking me follow-up appointments every other week, which I thought was unnecessary but hey, I’m just the patient. I received my first big bill from Dr. Rimawi in May 2025 for my December 2024 appointment, which was to extract a ceramic splinter from my toe. I quickly discovered that, despite ZocDoc and every single one of the front desk staff I interacted with saying I was covered under my insurance plan, that Dr. Rimawi worked out of two locations and that he technically only accepted my insurance from the OTHER office. I was stuck with $40K in bills for six appointments, five of which were 5-minute check-ups to ensure I was healing right. He was late for a handful of those appointments, and at the time I even thought, “They’re printing money”. It took about five calls to their billing department before they realized they had messed up and gave me a “discount” where I ended up eating $625 (on top of the per appointment co-pays I had also paid). Not everyone has the time or financial and English literacy to dispute these types of predatory billing practices. Not everyone has the means to pay $625 in surprise fees. I certainly would not have agreed to all those 5-minute follow-ups if I knew I was going to be charged so much or being treated with such dishonesty and/or callousness.
