The Dermatology Specialists - Bay Plaza

This was my first visit and I had such a great experience! The nurse and my doctor Ms. Klein and the front desk!!! The team is incredibly attentive and fast, which made everything so smooth and comfortable. I absolutely loved how modern the office looks!! It has this cool outer space meets retro cowgirl vibe that’s so unique and fun! I would definitely recommend them and will be a returning patient for a long time!

I recently visited the dermatology specialist at Bay Plaza and while the provider himself was kind, professional, and pleasant, the front desk experience completely ruined the visit. My appointment was initially scheduled incorrectly for the wrong allotted visit type/time. As someone who works in healthcare myself, I completely understand that mistakes happen. My issue was not the mistake, it was how the situation was handled afterward. I was sent to the front desk to reschedule and while I was actively speaking with the clerk, another patient walked in from outside and asked her to check with the doctor about something. The clerk literally stopped helping me mid-conversation and walked away to assist the other patient, leaving me standing there without explanation. Meanwhile, the second clerk refunded me for the incorrect visit but instead of stepping in to finish helping me, she began checking in and booking another patient. The entire interaction felt dismissive, rude, and very unprofessional. I eventually became so uncomfortable and frustrated that I walked out and booked an appointment at the Norwood location instead. Although Bay Plaza is convenient and parking is easy, the professionalism and overall treatment at the Norwood location is significantly better. I’ve honestly never experienced a front desk interaction handled this poorly before. The staff at Bay Plaza lacked professionalism, communication, and any sense of a welcoming atmosphere.
