My daughter was the patient, she passed late 2024. During her time at St. Vincent Hospital she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon disease. Because she opted not to continue with the hospital treatment plan, the oncology team, and pain management team along with palliative workers. Treated my daughter vial. Oncology did not want to see her afterwards, and the pain management team ration pain medication. Pain management also forced my daughter to take pain medication that did more damage than good. I had to involve a lawyer to get them to change her medication. I brought my daughter to two different hospitals and had telephone conversations with a third. They all suggested we return back to St. Vincent hospital. In other words we can’t/ won’t involve ourselves. I request a meeting by the patience relation team. But nothing was done. I even filed a report va. my daughter health insurance. Again nothing. I filed with CT.gov. Again nothing. I will submit another online form in march. I’m not only grieving the loss of my child, but at lost for who or where to turn too.
