I'm grateful to have been introduced to Dr. Tam. For years I went to a practice that I couldn't trust (full-mouth X-rays every six months, multiple new "cavities" that needed filling every time I went even though I never once had a cavity before in my life), but it was the only place that took my insurance. Finally I decided it's worth it to pay out of pocket to see a legitimate dentist, and I'm so lucky that dentist is Dr. Tam. He is a really good dentist, but on top of that all of his staff are friendly; I always feel like everyone here cares about the quality of care and service. Out-of-pocket costs for cleanings, X-rays, and fillings (I only have had one filling done since I've started seeing Dr. Tam, to fix a filling the prior practice did five years before) are reasonable. I haven't had a "cavity" since I left the old place. I've recommended Dr. Tam to others because he runs an honest and legitimate practice, which, unfortunately in NYC, can be hard to find. Dr. Tam deserves a million star rating!
