Laura
We were attending speech therapy sessions with Snezhana. After about three sessions, during which our appointment times were constantly being rescheduled, we were informed—without any prior notice—that Snezhana had reduced her working hours at the clinic, and therefore they could no longer see us at 2:00 PM. They told us they would call soon to let us know when they could resume sessions. As a result, after several days of silence, we started calling them ourselves. Svetlana (apparently the coordinator) kept telling us to wait, and after several days of persistent calls and pleas to continue the therapy our child needs, she finally put us through to a supervisor. The supervisor then told us that because Snezhana had reduced her hours, they wouldn't be able to see us at that time, and they have no other openings available right now. Since we had only recently started, our child was simply removed from the schedule. They said we have to wait until July (2-3 months) and maybe then a spot will open up... I have no words... they left a baby without therapy without even giving us advance notice so we could find an alternative! If you work with people—and especially with children who need help—could you at least be a little more humane?!!! Isn't this a violation of any professional code of ethics? I am writing from an anonymous account to keep my name private, but if you wish to contact me, I believe you will be able to identify our phone number and call us.
