Muffy
I came here on 5/30 due to an ear infection. I found this healthcare practice from Zocdoc. The staff is kind and I was able to be checked in right away. The issue comes in at the doctor. I was seen by Dr.Nguyet Duong and at first, she was kind and was able to tell fairly quickly that I had an ear infection, which I knew upon walking in. When I tried to speak about preventative measures regarding ear infections instead of keeping the conversation to what I was there for, she began to tell me that I needed to lose weight and decided to go over a dietary plan with me. Despite the fact, that I said multiple times throughout the conversation that I already have a doctor that I speak to about that. I tried to scare the conversation back to my ear pain and she once again was dismissive about it to speak about weight. I was at that appointment for about 15 minutes. The first 5 minutes were about my ear and the remaining 10 were her telling me I needed to lose weight even though is not what I came there for. To make matters worse she seemed to be insistent on the fact that I had issues related to my weight. She asked me if I felt joint pain, back pain, or if I had high blood pressure or diabetes, and when I told her “no” to all of these questions she followed up by asking when my last physical was, which was a month ago. She proceeded to ask me what my doctor said back then and I told her my doctor said I had a clean bill of health which she looks genuinely surprised by. The doctor then had the nerve to try to set up a 3-month follow up for weight loss. Despite the fact I continuously highlighted my concerns on the multiple ear infections I’ve gotten throughout the years despite taking preventative measures. This was very uncomfortable experience and highlights the fat phobia in the medical system. I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone off of this experience alone.
