I had the Discseel procedure done by Dr Pauza on Thursday 05/28/2026. I flew to Dallas after doing some research on his procedure. My doctors in Wisconsin were all set to do a fusion due to a long standing issue of stenosis. I lived with the shooting pains and numbness as well as upper back stiffness for ten years. When I began to lose strength in the left leg I finally surrendered to the idea of fusion. However, after researching options I thought I would try the Discseel approach instead. Thank God on Friday after the anesthesia wore off I had no upper -back pain at all. As a pastor of a church and the community work that we do mobility and faster healing was a concern for me. I found a lit more at Kevin Pauza's office then I prayed for. The staff was amazing. From the consultation thru the procedure. Dr. Pauza was also very rooted and grounded in his faith and craft. On day two, I feel like I found a ten year younger version of myself health-wise. I am following the 20% rule and instructions on not moving back into a full throttle work schedule, but I feel as though I could. I have had nothing but good experience from the beginning up to the current time which is 1 month out and it is supposed to be a 3 to 6 month and possibly longer healing and regenerative period of recovery. Every experience is just what I was told and the most important thing is patience which I am lacking, but I read Dr Pauza's comments daily for encouragement and things are definitely improving and better than pre procedure. The post procedure comment "It is to be expected to experience TEMPORARY increased pain/discomfort during the 3 to 6 month recovery." The word TEMPORARY gets my attention and is very important and I have experienced such discomfort during the 1st 3.5 weeks but it is usually TEMPOARY and I have at least 5 more months and fully expect to have other funny experiences with areas that have not been previously involved but it is always temporary and I choose to think the procedure is at work doing what it is supposed to do and the body has many nerves leaving different areas of the lumbar that can react to the procedure ultimately in a positive manner. Had I known about this procedure 3 years ago, I would have never had the one fusion that I did have and gone straight to the discseel procedure based on my first month of recovery.
